Technical Director (TD)

Role:

The Technical Director runs the switcher and is the execution arm of the director’s vision. They are responsible for the clean, precise operation of cameras, graphics, and video feeds during live broadcasts.

Description:

The TD prepares and operates the video switcher, builds macros, cues sources, and ensures proper routing of all visuals. They take direction from the Director, anticipate camera movements and graphics, and execute transitions, wipes, and overlays flawlessly in real time.
